Tips tricks and frustrations
- PDP's-When adding the Summary Evaluation, a PDP will pupulated for the NEXT school Year. This one will be BLANK except for any "developing" elements identified on the teacher's Summative. Next year NO PDP's will be created for returning teachers. Administrator will mark the PDP type (individual, monitered, or directed) on all three reviews (beginng, mid year, and EOY) for the 2011-12 school year.
- Remember to Use the "Copy Observaton" feature to ustilize the informion from a previous observation into a new observarion document.
- Keep data clean by reminding teachers to delete duplicates. Teachers should ONLY select "observation" when they are logging in. Red X rule.
- On opening staff development sessions- "authenticate" orientation before teachers leave for lunch? The "escape" ticket practice.
- Bookmark your NUMBER! Copy and paste if necessary. Do NOT include your password on bookmarks.
- Adjust your resolution to the highest. Teach teachers to do the same. Older projectors will often revert to lower resolutions. Teach the teachers
- CF recommends to "Power hit" 2 standards during post convergences, review ALL standards but place emphasis on two major standards for BT's and Probationary teachers. By the EOY you will have had a thorough discussion with the teacher on all standards.
- Combine the 3rd formal observation post convergence with the summative.
- Require teachers to "draft" progress on PDP's before arrival to the post conference.
